Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department was founded in 1952 out of the need for fire protection for the three greater communities of Apison, Collegedale, and Ooltewah.  The Department and these communities have grown quite substantially since then and Collegedale became a City in 1968 and is where TCVFD is headquartered.  Covering over 65 square miles, and serving over 40,000 residents, TCVFD is responsible for responses ranging from rural to industrial.  Over 100 personnel, responding from five stations, provide responses to fires, both technical and vehicle extrication rescues, and Advanced and Basic Life Support non-transport Medical First Response.  TCVFD is a member of the Tri-State Mutual Aid Association offering and receiving mutual aid with over 30 local communities.

WE VOLUNTEER BECAUSE YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!
